Working Out Kinks.

Well, we still have a lot to learn. But, we're doing well. Brian stayed a lot later with me tonight than he had to (or than he's paid for)...but I think it was a big benefit and I'm very grateful. We experimented and got some new things figured out so that next Wednesday goes better (in the way of exercise) than it did this week. We also figured out some ab and lower back things to do for future reference. I'm getting more and more concerned with my upcoming competition, so I'm not too worried about my abs right now. I want my bench up....yesterday. lol. But, I do this before every competition...on any day that isn't heavy. My drill days with Adam always drove me nuts in the month or two before my competitions because if there isn't weight being stacked on the bench, my brain thinks I'm not progressing. I know that's not true, but, it's just a mental game that I have to get past. Now Brian talks so much about my future bench and all the weight, and I have to train my brain to concentrate on what he's teaching me instead of being concerned about getting it up NOW. I'd love to be up to a competition lift of 180 lbs. by October...but, all I can do is go in and keep working.

Anyway, it was a very good night again. Things are gonna be wonderful...they already are. We have fun and talk, and then get serious when it's time. I'm getting pretty good at laughing one second and being completely focused the next. Had a couple things that made me mad tonight, not getting as many reps as I thought I should...but, ya just have to shrug it off and keep going. Nothing that made me uncomfortable though, or want to stop talking. Brian's pretty much taken care of most of that. He's eliminated my chair from most exercises, which is awesome. Now, we have to figure out how to eliminate my shoulders from taking over all the exercises that they shouldn't!!!!! So, that was most of our experimenting tonight.

Speed Drill on Bench Press (no chains tonight) - 95 lbs., 8 sets of 3. Brian says I'm improving on this.
Floor Press - 45 lb. Dumbbells, 2 sets of 10. 50 lb. Dumbbells, 2 sets of 8.
Floor Dumbbell Tricep Extension - 2 sets of 8 w/ 20 lbs., 1 set of 12 w/ 15 lbs., 2 sets of 8 w/ 20 lbs.
Cable Tricep Pushdown - 60 lbs., 10. 80 lbs., 10. 100 lbs., 2 sets of 8 (this one really made me mad...I pretty much quit on #8 last set, it wasn't coming).
Rotator Cuff Work - Y, T, W, 5 lbs., 2 sets of 30.
Med Ball Bounces - above head, and at chest - 2 sets of 30 seconds each.

OH! Brian found a place for me to get weighed :) He's taking me to the vet. lol. Hey, whatever gets the job done..they have a wide scale that I can sit on, and they said yes, so, that works for me. And I forgot to mention another sponsor came on Wednesday...I need to make sure I acknowledge those. I wouldn't be able to do this without them.

Everyone please keep Adam's family in your prayers. I found out when I went swimming yesterday that his grandpa died this week. :( He wasn't around (obviously)...but one of my friends was there working out and informed me of the goings' on that I was missing.
